Our Commitment
At Run Fest Silverstone, we're committed to giving back to the environment. For every participant who completes the event, we'll plant a tree as part of our sustainability programme. You can also choose to upgrade your entry to support the planting of a native British tree, helping to restore local habitats and enhance biodiversity across the UK. This initiative is made possible through our partnership with Climategames.
A portion of ticket sales will support EarthLungs' Mangrove Restoration project in Kenya. This initiative focuses on planting native mangrove species such as Ceriops tegal, Rhizophora mucronata, and Avicennia marina.
With your support, we’re helping restore the mangrove forests, which play a crucial role in maintaining coastal biodiversity. This project empowers local coastal communities, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty by creating sustainable income through fishing and harvesting the mangroves. Restoring these forests will also stabilize coastlines, offering vital protection to communities during tropical storms.
